I am always interested in how parties use language to further their aims.Take this release Sinn Féin to protest at sale of important 1916 and Tan War documents. Most people would call it the war of independence but as they don’t think we are independent they say tan war. Interestingly in the quotes Pearse Doherty says war of independence. Anyone wish to read into this?
