After attending a preview of the broadway musical The Pirate Queen, based on the life of Mayo’s most famous sea captain Grace O’Malley or Gr·inne Ni Mh·ille, Deputy Kenny said he was proud to be a Mayoman. “This is an outstanding production about a truly remarkable woman. The setting and costumes are magnificent, the songs are stirring and memorable and the final chorus brought tears to my eyes.”
