Fianna Fail press releases

Some people might wonder why i pick on Fine Gael press releases and not Fianna Fail. Well with releases like this Wallace seeks Park & Ride for Ratoath

At a recent meeting with Bus Eireann, Minister Wallace can confirm that a proposed Park & Ride facility for Ratoath was discussed. Currently Bus Eireann are examining the suitability of a couple of proposed sites in Ratoath for use as a Park & Ride facility. Minister Wallace said “This would be a fantastic service for city-commuters who would be able to park their car at a Park & Ride facility in Ratoath and then continue their journey using the on-site buses. This service would allow employees, visitors and shoppers to travel straight into the heart of the city without the hassle of searching for parking spaces and it would also alleviate existing parking problems in the village. Councillor Nick Killian who works everyday in Main Street Ratoath says that people would be delighted with a designated Park & Ride facility and that it would definitely alleviate the parking situation in the village.

What can i do?

Perhaps it is because you don’t make the same effort to bring these gems to people’s attention? Stuff was discussed, hurray!

Was the fact discussed that people are often charged for such park and ride facilities which on top of the cost of the bus and running the car which is needed to reach the bus in the first place usually means it is cheaper to just drive the whole way into the city.

Do you have a parking space in Dublin? I very much doubt driving to dublin is cheaper. My point about this post is that ff press releases tend to be mundane local news like Park and Ride in Rathoath hence why i rarely talk about them as they don’t catch my attention.

Also the vast majority of posts on this site are against FF a little balanced of criticism is surely not a bad thing?

If you’re a civil servant you probably have a parking space. And you’re saying you’re criticising other parties simply because lots of people are having a go at FF? That isn’t balance.

And I’m sure FF issue press releases other than the local ones, it’s just that you don’t get them. Or they are issued by the government department on behalf of the TD/minister.
