Irish Election won the Best Political Blog award this year. This is the second year in a row we have won it and have to say I feel and I am sure Cian and everyone else here feels very humbled and grateful to have been chosen out of all the other fine blogs this year. I am sorry that I couldn’t make it over to the awards but I trust everyone had a good night. Thanks to everyone who helped out with the blogging, election conference, election conference or just read us. Thank you, life thank you, thank you love and it is true there are some angels on the net

Sorry for not being able to attend on the night - other issues intervened but I must say that everything simon wrote, I feel too.
