How many years does it take to provide ‘a few more hospital beds’. Today Bertie used that line, while explaining why his government is giving away billions of Euros in Public lands to private hospital developers. His government has been in power for 12 years, and now he is planning to supply a few more hospital beds? What happened to the campaign promises he made 12 years ago.
This is just another way to payoff campaign contributers.
Time for a change?
The government should not sign any contracts with private developers to build private hospitals on public land this side of an election. This policy only reinforces the two tier health system.
Bertie stood up in the dail yesterday and had a go at Pat Rabitte for asking Bertie for a straight answer. I can understand Pats frustration because when you read transcripts of Berties answers in gerneral they don’t say anything at all. They’re just ramblings.
Then there’s the PDs statement that they’re going to RUSH through the signing of contracts for the Hospitals just so Labour can’t cancel them if it get’s into power. What a disaster this is going to be. We all know the string of Fuck-ups that happen when the PDs rush through legislation imagine what it’ll be like for thee contracts.
I seem to recall a certain minister for education signing a deal with the religious in the dying days of the last Dail, and we still don’t know how much that is going to cost us.
The Galway County Councillor, Michel Fahy, who was given a one-year jail sentence and fined €75,000 for the misappropriation of county council funds.Senator Michael Kitt of Fianna Fáil said people in the Ardrahan area of Co Galway were taken aback by the jail sentence imposed.
So if he went into a bank with a gun and stole it then that would make him a thief?? but it is ok that he stole from the council??
I wouldnt vote for anyone that will be running in the elections, there all out for themselves and would back stab anyone to get into power. A new political system is needed in ireland.
……and about the council funds that were robbed, im sure this goes on all the time Mr Fahy was just to stupid to get caught!! Im sure MILLIONS of irish peoples money has been robbed by the brown envelope people….. BERTIE….. and mary cant even get beds into hospitals…. i’d have them infrom argos tomorrow!! she is a waste of space….her recent bill board saying she has shortened waiting lists?? what by a day?? 6 months waiting list ( if your lucky) how long has her fat arse been on a trolley for??
