The Breaking news site speculates this morning, or at least reports growing speculation that the General Election will be held on Thursday May 24, a week later than Wagger suggested but still a Thursday. It is also interesting how he now appears to have the power to change the order of days in the week;
“There is growing speculation that the Taoiseach will set Thursday, May 24, as the date for this year’s general election.
The previous thinking was that the election would take place on Friday, May 24, but recent comments by Bertie Ahern suggest the fourth Thursday of the month is his preferred choice.”
