ohn Devane, a prominent Limerick solicitor, has announced that he is to run in this summer’s general election as an independent in Limerick East.

Mr Devane fears, however, that his illness may prevent him from going on the campaign trail.
The controversial solicitor has claimed that he is suffering from MRSA, which he believes he picked up while being treated at one of Limerick’s hospitals.
While Mr. Devane can’t seem to find the energy to meet and greet the law abiding voters in Limerick East, he still manages to take on some of the most emotive and high profile characters in Limerick as clients.
It can’t be doing his campaign any favours if he is unable to go out kissing hands and shaking babies.
