Sorry for not updating the local news for a while. I have been lazy which is a shame as there is great news there. For instance from the Waterford News and Star. Future prospects ‘are not damaged’John Deasy said about the whole controversy
I am of the view that this is the most positive thing to happen Fine Gael for years,
Ludder
He believes his prospects of being appointed a minister within a future Fine Gael government or becoming a future leader of the party have not been damaged
I got a feeling future should be prefixed with the word distant.
Ok I took the above quote out of contex a wee bit.
In the wake of such washing of the party’s dirty linen on the public airwaves, Mr Deasy revealed that local party activists have decided to “once and for all work together”.
“People have started to phone up each other and say let’s get on with this. I am getting phone calls from people who frankly wouldn’t have called me a week ago asking to meet and talk about the whole thing. I am of the view that this is the most positive thing to happen Fine Gael for years,” he said.
So basically he is saying him messing up the party has got everyone together. Emm thing is Jim they have come together to repair the damage you caused.
